How would I test my abilities if I thought I was a sensitive?
I sometimes hear voices. I usually know what people are gonna say before they say it. I am highly sensitive to other peoples energy. Am I clairvoyant or perhaps a medium or telepathic? I am so confused with all the new age mumbo jumbo that its hard to find some place to fit in. I don’t want to be someone that I am not. Is there anyone who has read this that has felt the same way but knows which direction to head towards?

Hearing voices can be attributed to auditory hallucinations – though this does not necessarilly indicate a mental illness or impairment.

The belief that you know what people are going to say before they say it could be confirmation bias (remembering the hits and forgetting the misses) or retrospective falsification.

You could easily test this – just get several people to say something and you write down what they are going to say before they say it. Keep the words to a minimum, say one or two words to avoid interpretaion issues, blind the test properly, use a third party and if you get results better than random chance, you may be onto something.

I know how you feel in this area. I know what it feels like. Your wondering if your going nuts or are you really hearing what your hearing. There are ways to figure out if this is in your head or not. If you really are hearing other peoples thought don’t fret because more people are capable of this than you or even them think. Do you also get a slight headache when doing this whether intentionally or unintentionally? Also do you also hear your name being said although there’s no one around you and its usually in a voice that you know and its whispering? If you really are doing this you have some learning about this to accomplish and controlling of this ability. Because if you just let it go on its own it will get out of control and you really don’t want that. Not to mention the ethics that go along with this that is of coarse if you are capable of getting other info from a persons mind.

Are psychic powers actually real or is it just purely imagination?
It makes me curious because I notice that there are lots of shows with psychic powers in them but I always wondered if it is actually possible in real life. I mean… Could there be truth to it? Is there any proof of any real psychic events? It would be interesting.

psychic powers are real. they are in every person. its just a matter of how much you develop them, or if you “third eye” has opened. ever wonder why people can sense ghosts? its psychic powers. and it isn’t really a power, more like a gift. everyone is gifted. there is no “proof” because it is beyond our understanding, but i assure you, it is in fact real. very real

I can tell you that it is but you will never be entirely sure until you witness it first hand or have your own psychic experiences. I have had enough experiences in life to know that yes, they are real without a doubt. If you want to experience it, I would say to keep an open mind and perhaps try developing your own psychic capabilities. One good way is listening to your dreams and keeping a journal.

A lot of our symbolic dreams can be decoded and they are actually talking about something going on in our life that our subconscious is trying to work out in our sleep. But sometimes the symbols will be telling of a future event instead. There are also the dreams that are exact ‘snapshots’ of the future. That is why it is good to write them down.

You might dream of being in a room you have never been in before and you wake up and think it’s kind of weird but brush it off and go on about your day, forgetting all about it. Maybe a few weeks later you go to relative’s new place and find yourself standing in that very room. Having a journal and that dream written down will make the experience more real and concrete to you.

There is proof but it is personal proof. Those people who have had first hand experience know that it is real.

Actually there was a show called Psychic Detectives and I watched a bunch of the episodes and many times the psychics new things about cases that weren’t released to the public. There was also a show called America’s Psychic Challenge and some of those psychics knew things that they had no way of knowing as well.

For some reason, some people brush that kind of thing off and say that they must have cheated somehow. Some people prefer not to acknowledge psychic capabilities…maybe because they think it’s scary or maybe because it has yet to be explained.
