What if magick, paranormal phenomena, and psychic abilities are just people’s delusions?
I am a 17yo Esoteric Christian girl and now since yesterday I started doubting magick, paranormal phenomena, and psychic abilities… What if magick, paranormal phenomena, and psychic abilities are just people’s delusions? Or are there any (scientific) proofs that magick, paranormal phenomena, and psychic abilities are real and not delusions? I am so worried because I want those things to exist. Is there any real proof that magick, paranormal phenomena, and psychic abilities are real(ity) instead of being delusions? And I mean magick as in witchcraft, spells, and other magick stuff, and paranormal phenomena as in deities, spirits, angels, demons, fairies, etc.
Just be honest to me, and tell me the truth and send me some proofs and don’t tell me things to make me happy, just tell me all truths.

Don’t lump everything together. There ar psi abilities and paranormal events, they have been recognized in one form or another for thousands of years. The fact that mainstream science doesn’t recognize them means nothing concerning those abilities. Keep in mind that science is only little more than 300 years old; it does not know everything although scientists would love the public to believe that everything they think, do, and say is based upon a complete understanding of the universe– it isn’t. Science dos not understand gravity. It does not understand inertia. Medical science has no cures for cancer or HIV. There is so much science does now not understand. So when some idiot shouts out, “Well science says–” understand that person is talking with a paper nose and doesn’t know what they are talking about.
Sigmund Freud during the last part of his life had said that he was sorry he wasted so much time with psycho-analysis and not on the study of psychic abilities and phenomena. Physicist Wolfgang Pauli was a strong believer in psi abilities and he was sure that he had some himself. Many great people in science were founding members of the Society for Psychical Research. Many famous people like Abraham Lincoln, Percy Bysshe Shelley, Carl Jung, and Michael Crichton have had psychic abilities and never doubt their reality.

No matter what proof people see in footage they will always look for a way to cast it aside. I’ve been looking at the yahoo answers homepage and actually it looks like there’s an increase of paranormal activity. There are lots of people who are scared that their houses are haunted and they seem to be convinced of it. To be honest ever seen I watched Ghost Adventures I’ve been scared to turn my light off and get a twinge of fear when I do. If you haven’t already you should watch Ghost Adventures, it includes voodoo and magic and ghosts of course. You’ll be able to judge for yourself if it’s real or not. You’ll find the episodes on YouTube or you might have to buy/borrow them if they’re blocked. My opinion is that yes, ghosts definitely exist but I’m not sure about anything else listed.

Good for you, it is good to doubt things that don’t seem to be real. Always question such things. No, scientifically none of these things have been demonstrated. But people believe in them because they want them to be real, or because they’d rather just believe than seek out the most likely explanations for what they think they saw or heard, or because they believe the rumors they hear.
So, what if they are delusions? The answer is nothing — nothing would change, nothing would happen. But people will still believe in them regardless.
