Just curious about psychic abilities!?
Does anyone know of a person who CHOSE to be psychic?
like, they studied a book, and they opened their mind to spirits talking from them?
Did they actually have a spirit come through for them?
I’m just curious because I think it would be cool. thanks

I read a book that said everyone has the power to be physic, one must learn how to tap into it. Go to a book store to the new age section and look at all the books about being a psychic, one will surely give you directions.

You’ve got it a bit mixed up; being psychic is not about “having a spirit come through” anyone.
Just as you have physical senses, you also have psychic senses: there is the physical sense of hearing, and there’s the psychic sense of clairaudience (psychic hearing); there’s the physical sense of sight, and there’s the psychic sense of clairvoyance (clear / psychic vision);

It’s just a matter of learning how to access and use these psychic gifts. Most people are better at one than another, and it does take some work to develop them, but it is certainly possible to do so.

Clairsentient – being able to feel things at a distance (emotionally)
Precognition – recognizing something that you have never seen (i.e. seeing the future)
Intuition – being able to tell what someone is thinking or having things make automatic sense without needing an explanation.
Clairaudience – being able to hear things paranormally (like hear what someone is thinking or hear what a ghost is saying)
Clairvoyance – being able to see or otherwise sense things at an unreasonable distance (i.e. having a dream in which you see your friend halfway across the world and what you see is actually what he is doing).
Intuition is a fairly common thing. Some people can easily grasp and manipulate concepts and come up with explanations without having to be taught, some people can just sort of sense what people are thinking or feeling.
The other things are all considered “paranormal” or psychic. There’s a lot of hype and skepticism about all of those things, but there are people who either actually have those abilities (keeping the abilities to themselves, of course – and it’s kind of creepy if you ever encounter anything like that that seems real) or who are really good stage magicians (the ones who publicize the stuff).

Clair-sentient, example.. is someone that will guide you, clairvoyant readings. Means someone that is perceiving and understanding information.
Precognition is the ability to see the future.
Intuitive is basically insight that we all have, and that we can develop, to use your natural psychic abilities that we all have, just need to learn how to fine tune.
Clair audience is the power of faculty of hearing something not present to the ear but regarded as having objective reality.
Clairvoyance is the ability to “see” events or objects happening somewhere else.

do people really have psychic abilities?
i don’t really believe in psychics, fortune teller’s, all of that shizz, but the truth is, im starting to get a little concerned… I read the other questions similar to this, and i happen to relate to one of them. just yesterday, i was singing to myself “I Dont Care” by Apocalyptica, and just as I finished singing it to myself, it started playing on KROQ. A few days ago, I went to the LA fair with my friends. when we were telling each other how much money we brought, i answered for Olivia [my friend ^.^] $ 65, but questioningly, before she did. She gave me a funny look, but said yeah. this kind of stuff have been happening for a while, and i didnt want to ask my parents cause they’d just tell me “oh its just a coincidence” or all of that. any ideas???
