Ghosts and psychic abilities?
I am struggling with whether or not my experiences are a result of mental illness or paranormal. My family and I have seen a ghost in our old house which was probably haunted. Now as I’m older I see things out of the corner of my eye have dreams that are real see figures out of nowhere… I get random dates and names in my head and when I look them up they are real. I’m kind of scared…. If any of you have real experiences give me advice…. I want to explore and embrace this but a side of me says Im losing my mind.

No one has ever been able to show that ghosts or anything paranormal actually exists. If you’ve got a physical ghost hanging around that everyone can see, then you’re eligible for a million bucks from the JREF and a Noble Prize for proving the existence of the paranormal. But chances are good you don’t, and it’s merely a result of your imagination and fear. I’m not sure what you mean by ‘dates and names are real’, but there are over 7 billion people in this world. Pretty much any combination of past dates and any kind of names are going to belong somewhere to someone. That’s not a psychic power. That’s math.

You’ve already found the answer. If you receive names and dates that you can then verify as being legitimate, you are not crazy. There is no mental illness that features that as a symptom! You don’t say how old you are, but not everyone who is a psychic or medium is born with the ability. We can acknowledge and further develop these abilities at any point in our lives. (As for seeing ‘ghosts’ the people who HAVE witnessed OVERT spirit activity do not have trouble believing you, and those who have closed their minds to the fact that there is more ‘here’ than we can understand or explain…well….they never will take you seriously—and after all, who needs them?)

ghost experiences??
I’ve had plenty. seeing shadow people. Hearing things..many many. so tell me. What are your experieces? and tell me on here because im not e-mailing you.
oh yes and espeically shadow people they amaze me.
and any internet sites that are very good on ghosts?
also i havent heard of the ghost in my home for a very long time. how can i contac her without oujia or tarot cards etc.

Interesting you mention “shadow people”. When my son was young, he told me he used to see and talk to ghosts in his room.
I asked him what they look like and he said,”shadow people”.
He would never tell me what they talked about. Not even to this day. He still remembers though. I asked him if they were old or young, boy or girl and he just says,”Shadows”.
My husband who is the ULTIMATE skeptic told me that one morning he was walking
down our hallway and he bumped into me and I said good morning to him. Much to his surprise he found me still asleep in bed! He was very scared and my man doesn’t scare easily!
Also when I was young we hung out at a “haunted” lighthouse.
My friend and I would taunt the ghost , daring her to show up and throw sticks at her. We would hurl the sticks down the cliff,not realizing how strange it actually was to have the sticks turn around while falling half way down and hit us!

This was pretty exciting. I stayed in the Morse room of the Lizzie Borden house – the room the mother was killed in. In the evening I saw very a distinct shadow shift on the wall in the room that would have been the parents bedroom. I thought it was the guest who was staying in that room but soon realized it wasn’t – no one was in there. I was too afraid to go in the room though – which is weird because i’m the only person i know who isn’t afraid in these kinds of situations. So i had this subtle, negative feeling.. it wasn’t panic or even fear, but i felt that i should just leave. Now i wish i had gone in. In the morning the room I was staying in felt dramatically different. There was a distinct, heavy energy. It was very uncomfortable. I was drift back to sleep but my mind would like buzz and become aware of something around me, even though i couldn’t see it, but i was not fully awake, i was paralyzed though my mind not aleep. This happened several times before i just became annoyed and got up. A few hours later, before checkout, a photo taken of me sitting on the bed showed a white orb on my stomach. I’d love to stay there again. There was a psychic there tat night, but she didn’t impress me. I didn’t know what to make of her, but i saw no real talent or information come forth. But the house is definetly creepy and i truly felt that there were ghosts present on a few occasions. I’d be afraid to live there, put it that way. The psychic did say that she thought that the uncle and lizzie conspired with a third man to kill the parents, that this third man did it with a meat cleaver. IT’s a very interesting story altogether.
